Jeremie Saunders knows a thing or two about what it’s like to live with a serious illness. He has Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic lung disease, that among other things, means his life expectancy is a lot shorter than the average person. But rather than shying away from the fact that dying young will be part of his story, Jeremie lives every day like it’s numbered and faces death, dying, and illness with his own brand of refreshing honesty.

Along with his two best friends Brian and Taylor, Jeremie hosts an award-winning podcast called Sickboy which is dedicated to breaking down the stigma associated with illness and disease. Through frank conversations and a lot of honesty, the hosts of Sickboy deal with life, death, and illness through the only way they know how: humour.

John Burris, Branch Experience Leader and Mutual Fund Representative from Valley Credit Union recently joined Jeremie, Brian, and Taylor to get real and talk about how to deal with the financial implications of living with a serious illness.
