Atlantic Canadians continuously inspire us with their dedication to their communities and local businesses. We're thrilled to announce that the #Loyal2LocalChallenge is back for 2024, and we're calling on everyone to join us in supporting local!

From July 15, 2024, to August 15, 2024, all 1,500+ credit union employees across Atlantic Canada will each receive $25 to spend at their favourite local businesses. By doing this, we aim to inject money back into our local economy, continuing the tradition of building our communities together.

But this challenge isn’t just for credit union employees. We invite everyone to participate! Here’s how you can join the #Loyal2LocalChallenge and support our amazing local businesses:

1. Shop Local: Spend at your favourite local shop, café, or service provider. Every purchase makes a difference.
2. Share Your Experience: Post about your local shopping experience on social media. Tag the business, tag Credit Unions (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), and use the hashtag #Loyal2LocalChallenge.
3. Spread the Word: Tell your friends and family about the fantastic local businesses you love and encourage them to visit.

Supporting local isn’t just about spending money. Here are some ways to participate without breaking the bank:

• Share about your go-to community café on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or TikTok and tag them!
• Write a heartfelt review about how amazing your service was or how tasty your treat was. Local businesses love a five-star review.
• Tell your friends about the incredible local shop you visited and encourage them to stop by soon.

There are so many ways to support your local businesses and help build up the Atlantic communities. Let’s make a meaningful difference for the businesses that make our communities great places to live, work, and play—and let’s do it together.
