Twin Shores Campground

Established in 1969, Twin Shores has grown to become the largest campground in eastern North America, boasting over 700 campsites, cottages, and cabins. 

The story of Twin Shores began with Joseph and Miriam Haverlock, who stumbled upon the property in 1968 during a trip from Maine. Frustrated by the lack of camping options, and a deep-rooted family tradition in the camping business, the Haverlocks seized the opportunity to create their own paradise. From that moment on, it began to build a legacy of unforgettable family memories.

The Haverlocks operated Twin Shores until 2010, when Darren Cousins and Brian Haverlock, Joseph and Miriam’s youngest son, took the helm. Their commitment to growth and innovation has been driven by a passion for providing the finest camping experience.

In recent years, Twin Shores has garnered recognition for its exceptional service and facilities. Named one of the top 11 places to RV in Canada by msn.ca and recognized as the Canadian Camping and RV Council's Large Campground of the Year in 2022, the campground’s reputation for excellence is well-earned. 

A factor in Twin Shores’ success has been the support of their credit union. This partnership has been instrumental in helping the campground grow, providing loans, day-to-day support, and crucial assistance in expanding their offerings. 

Beyond its own success, Twin Shores is deeply committed to supporting the local community. They believe that local businesses are vital not only to the economy but to fostering community connections.
