The journey to establish Nalu Retreat was driven by founder Paul Peic’s vision to create a haven where guests could escape from the demands of daily life and find solace and rejuvenation. After an extensive search across Canada, Paul discovered Nova Scotia’s stunning landscapes and decided to bring his dream to life. Embracing the region’s natural beauty and challenges, including the granite boulders that characterize the site, he embarked on a transformative journey. A particularly fortuitous moment came during construction when an underground spring was uncovered, providing some of the purest drinking water in the world. This discovery added a unique touch to the retreat’s offerings.

The retreat’s luxurious domes are designed to provide an immersive experience, each featuring private decks with hot tubs, outdoor showers, fire pits, and BBQs, all overlooking Porters Lake. Inside, guests are greeted with panoramic 26-foot windows, cozy fireplaces, and spa-inspired washrooms complete with custom-made soaps, plush robes, and slippers. The domes also include stargazing and yoga lofts, offering spaces for reflection and connection with the cosmos. Culinary delights crafted by Chef Kim at Lupin Dining enhance the retreat’s allure, providing exquisite meals that complement the serene atmosphere.
